We ran a design workshop to test out our ideas for a Journalism Design process. The feedback from this session played an important role in shaping the final JxD process.
The contextual phase of our research aimed to understand how the 2016 cohort of Journalism Design students imagined the future of journalism. We were interested in how they used design methods and how and when they considered journalistic values. This is what we found out.
So far we have created two versions of the Journalism Design framework and we are currently working on the third iteration. Here you'll see how our ideas evolved.
We're using a design approach to develop the JxD process. Like most design research it involves phases of contextual research, designing, evaluating and redesigning.
